Launchpad's Carols By Candlelight 2026

We are delighted to announce that this year’s Carols by Candlelight will take place on Tuesday 1 December.

Our fantastically festive evening will be held at the beautiful Great Hall on the University of Reading’s London Road campus.

Doors will open at 5pm and the performances will start at 6pm. This will give you time to buy your raffle tickets, find your seats and make yourselves comfortable.

This heartwarmingly festive event will be hosted by Launchpad patron and TV presenter Matt Allwright, alongside our very own Head of Fundraising, Kirsti Wilson.

We’ve invited the joyful Reading Community Gospel Choir and fabulous youth choir, Universal Voices, to perform a selection of Christmas classics for you, and you’ll also hear some festive readings and inspiring stories about Launchpad’s work with people in housing crisis.

Every ticket sale for this unmissable evening will help Launchpad continue to provide homes for Reading’s most vulnerable this winter. Launchpad’s supported housing offers warm, clean, and safe accommodation for over 111 people in need – which are a lifeline to the many individuals, couples, and families at risk of, or who have already lost their homes.

Whether you’re looking to kick off the festive season with beautiful carols or support a vital local cause, Carols by Candlelight is an event not to be missed.

For anyone that is unable to attend, you can still support our work with a donation so we can help ensure local people have a roof over their head and a place to call home, for Christmas and beyond. Simply visit launchpadreading.org.uk/donate
