Threads: A Clothing & Textile Event

'Threads' is an event all about reducing clothing waste, especially through fast fashion, clogging up our planet.

Including workshop displays on decorative mending, zero-waste pattern cutting, felt making and a clothes swap - where you can bring a good garment and swap it for an even better one (that's the idea anyway!)

There is also a chance to meet our artist Helen MacRichie with her amazing natural dye textiles.

There will also be the chance to be the first to see the new piece Earley: One Square At A time 2024 ahead of its formal opening on 7th September. This is a wall hanging composed of 100 textile patches made by all groups and individuals in Earley to represent what its like to live here this year.
