Casual House Attendants
South Street Arts Centre is a nationally acclaimed theatre & venue in the heart of Reading promoting high quality performance work across theatre, music, comedy, dance and spoken word /live literature.
We are looking for Casual House Attendants to join our small, dynamic team to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for all our visiting artists and customers.
About the role
The role will work across our operation, including working on Box Office and bar operations for performances, stewarding shows and other general event duties.
Main duties and responsibilities are:
- Working at Box Office
- Working on our bar
- Setting up seating and other furniture for events & functions
- Stewarding of events
- Occasional opening up & locking up
- Light cleaning duties
- Cash handling
- Handling in person & on the phone enquiries
About you
The following experience is required for this role:
Essential:
- Ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication skills
- Passion for the performing arts
- Basic numeracy
Desirable:
- Knowledge of contemporary performing arts
- Knowledge of South Street
Any previous experience required:
- Experience in an hospitality environment, ideally within a theatre /arts centre.
