Meet the Father Willis Organ

Heritage Open Day

Sat 7 Sep, 11am

Just how does an organ work? And who was Father Willis? Learn this, be astounded by the sound and maybe even have a go for yourself.

Join Organ Curator Dr William McVicker and members of the Berkshire Organists' Association in an exploration of the history and sounds of the internationally-renowned 'Father' Willis Organ in Reading Town Hall. Find out how it works and listen to some stirring music.

Afterwards there will be a chance for members of the public to try the instrument for themselves.

Admission free. No need to book - just turn up.

Session will last approximately 90 minutes
