1-29 Jun, 10:00-16:00 (Mon-Sat)
A selection of oil paintings by Reading-based artist Ahmad Alazami on display at the Art Space in St Nicolas, Earley for the month of June.
The concept of belonging is a universal yet deeply personal experience. In this exhibition, "Belonging," artist Ahmad Alazami explores the intricate layers of identity, community, and the spaces we inhabit. Each oil painting in this collection reflects the ties that bind us to places and people and the emotional landscapes that define our sense of home.
Through vibrant colours and dynamic compositions, Ahmad aims to capture the essence of connection and the often-overlooked moments that contribute to our feeling of belonging. Ahmad’s work is inspired by his own experiences and the diverse stories of others, seeking to evoke a sense of empathy and shared humanity.
"Belonging" is an invitation to pause and reflect on what it means to be part of a community. It challenges viewers to consider their own journeys and the various elements that contribute to their identity. Ahmad hopes that each painting will resonate with viewers on a personal level, encouraging contemplation and conversation about the places and people that shape our lives.
