Here Comes The Sun!

Join us for a great programme of summer events!

There is something for everyone, and all are welcome: from music making and story telling to crafty fun with textiles and even our own version of the Olympics!

All events are free, but please book your place at ure.education@reading.ac.uk giving your name, a contact number, the number of people coming and any additional support we can give you to make sure your visit is great.

Summer TEXTIVAL at the Ure

  • Tue 23 July, 11am-2pm
  • Tue 6 August, 11am-2pm

To coincide with the UK-wide Festival of Archaeology, the Ure is holding a festival of ancient textiles. Dyeing, weaving and cord making. All ages welcome!

Summer Olympots at the Ure

  • Sat 3 Aug, 11am-2pm

We're creating our own Olympics! Come along to find out where it all started! Indoor and outdoor games for all.

Pots and Tots

  • Tue 30 July, 13 Aug, 11am-2pm
  • Makaton assisted relaxed session Sat 31 Aug, 11am-2pm

Storytelling, music and movement for children aged 2-7; older siblings and friends are very welcome to join in.

Hold on tight! Object handling sessions

  • Tue 20 & 27 Aug, 3 Sep, 10am-11am & 2pm-3pm
