Threads of Art: Transforming garments and paintings into 1/1 Totes
Live Upcycling Art Performance
As part of our exhibition ''The state in Between: Loss & Discovery'', Insistrum pairs with two great artists, Guantana and Lah Porella for an unforgettable artistic experience at our opening night's event, where creativity meets sustainability in a truly unique way. Guests are invited to bring their old clothes to the venue, where they will be transformed into stunning tote bags through a collaborative effort between attendees and two talented artists. These garments will be carefully sewn together by Guantana, incorporating vibrant painted canvases from our featured artist Lah Porella, resulting in bespoke tote bags that blend fashion, art, and eco-consciousness seamlessly.
Discover the beauty of repurposing and reimagination as we breathe new life into forgotten textiles, turning them into functional pieces of art. This event offers a rare opportunity to witness the creative process firsthand, fostering connections between guests and artists while promoting sustainability in the world of fashion. Don't miss your chance to be part of this inspiring event, where every stitch tells a story of renewal and reinvention. Join us and let's transform old into extraordinary together.
