Independent Venue Week - Tom Webber

Presented by Club Velocity & New Mind

Independent Venue Week (IVW) is the long-running 7-day celebration of independent music and arts venues and the people that own, run and work in them.

The event returns in 2025 for its 12th edition between Monday 27th January and Sunday 2nd February, with hundreds of venues expected to take part up and down the UK, encouraging fans to come out in the depths of winter, show support for their local scene, and enjoy a live gig or show.

Tom Webber

Oxfordshire-born singer/ songwriter Tom Webber started busking at the age of 16. And since his first EP ‘Stop And Think About It’ released in 2020 he has played around the country supporting the likes of Nick Lowe, Richard Hawley, Suzanne Vega and played a handful of UK Festivals like Glastonbury, Isle Of Wight, Truck and WOMAD.

Inspired by music of all generations past and present, Tom’s sound is filled with both classic & contemporary influences such as Sam Cooke, Bob Dylan, Jake Bugg & Paolo Nutini.

Following on from the Summer upbeat "Howling at the Moon", Tom released new music in September 2023 with a 4 track EP "The RAK Tracks". Recorded at the legendary RAK Studios, the lead track "Living for Us Both" is the true story of losing a brother at a young age, and also features a duet of the classic Korgis hit "Everybody's Got to Learn Sometime" with Maya Lane.

2024 has seen the release of new music from Tom with single "This Time" - working alongside producer and writers James Dring and Jack Kay and followed up the success of This Time with Keep Calling in early Summer.
