Reading Pride's MyUmbrella LGBT+ project organises the annual Transgender Day of Remembrance Vigil in Reading. This year, we will be continuing the vigil in a film presentation format, however due to high demand in the past we have not one but two opportunities to join the vigil in person! As well as, being able to watch it online too.
19th November

20th November
3Sixty, Reading Students Union from 7pm (film starting at 7.15pm)
20th November
YouTube Premiere at 8pm
The vigil is an important part of MyUmbrella's calendar, as part of an LGBT+ charity we celebrate the diversity of being Trans*, although we understand it is important to stand together and fight for more rights and equality not just locally but also in the UK and throughout the world.
As in years past, most of those lost to the ongoing epidemic of fatal anti-trans violence are people of colour, specifically black Trans* women. The first TDoR vigil in Reading was held in 2015 with a large attendance across every section of the Trans* community and allies.
