Dark Mythology with Bea Fitzgerald, Alexandra Christo and Annaliese Avery.
Join us in store for a very exciting discussion of Dark Mythology and YA/Fantasy novels from the fantastic authors Bea Fitzgerald, author of Girl Goddess, Queen, Alexandra Christo author of The Night Hunt and Annaliese Avery author of The Immortal Games.
Bea Fitzgerald is a Sunday Times bestselling author and content creator, writing romantic YA fantasy and dark, messy adult fiction. She has worked in publishing for a number of years, across marketing, editorial and most recently as an agent. She graduated with a first-class degree from the University of Reading, wherein she snuck as many ancient history modules (like a Trojan horse) into an English Literature BA as she possibly could. Bea is passionate about stories and fascinated by the way they endure and resonate through centuries and generations.
Alexandra Christo is a British author whose characters are always funnier and far more deadly than she is. She studied Creative Writing at university and graduated with the desire to never stop letting her imagination run wild. Her debut novel To Kill a Kingdom is an international bestseller and her Young Adult fantasy books have been translated into over a dozen languages worldwide, and her new novel The Night Hunt which is a fast-paced fantasy set in the world of myths and monsters, with enemies to lover's romance.
Annaliese Avery was shortlisted in the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) Undiscovered Voices 2020 competition, and is a former library manager. She has an MA in Creative Writing and is a graduate of the Golden Egg Academy where she also works as an editor and programmeleader. Owing to Annaliese's love for astronomy, she founded an astronomical society, DASH Astro, in 2013. Annaliese lives in Suffolk with her partner and three children. The Immortal Games is her debut YA novel.
This is set to be a brilliant discussion on mythology, YA writing and the authors making moves in this very intriguing genre.
