Burghfest: Music & Beer Festival

RG7 sees the return of the Burghfest Beer & Music festival on 25-26th Sept. Showcasing local cask ale & craft beer, ciders, gins, food vendors and bands in a family friendly environment.

As Burghfield Santas end a run of Friday evening summer holiday Pop-Up Pubs on the local Recreation Ground, focus turns to their annual two-day beer and music festival on Friday 25th & Saturday 26th September 2026.

"Throughout the Summer we've been testing new beers and food vendors so we can showcase the best the local area has to offer. This is the last big event Burghfield Santas are running as we're wrapping things up after 20 years of fund raising and passing the sleigh reins to another organisation at the end of the year." 

"This year look out for our Burghfest Heritage Brew range - they're amazing local beers that are collaborations, have won "beer of the year" at Burghfest or won our homebrew competition run with Elusive Brewing and Reading Amateur Brewers - we've even managed to get some reimagined long lost brews back on the stillage! There's a wide range of about 50 different cask and keg (craft) beers to suit most tastes, along with local ciders and a Gin & Prosecco bar", Santa Robin explained. 

He went on, "we get well over two thousand people of all ages each day and there will be plenty to keep families entertained with two music stages, food vendors and a fairground for U13 children with great value unlimited ride sessions. If you're a budding homebrewer or just interested in what goes into your beer, pop along for 1-3pm on Saturday to "Meet the Brewers, the Brewers' Social" - this regularly results in brewery collaborations and one year we even had a new brewery formed!"

"We've got a wide range of local talent on the stage across the weekend, ranging from The Ta Das to our very own Santa House Band, Burghfield Uncommon with festival favourites Murdoch's Crazy Eyes. The fabulous The Small Strings Ukulele band are hosting the bar stage with high energy rock & pop covers band, Audiotonic closing the live music on Saturday night."

Burghfest 2026 is held at the Recreation Ground in Burghfield Common, RG7 3EN from 3-11pm on Friday 25th and 12-11pm on Saturday September 26th. Please walk or use Reading Buses Lime 2/2a.
