Tribute Night: Beyoncé & Destiny’s Child
Tribute Night returns to full strength, with slightly new dates for 2023 onwards.
So, where were we? Oh, that’s right! Beyoncé!
A multifaceted superstar by any measure, Beyoncé rose to fame in the late ’90s as the central member of pop-R&B group Destiny’s Child, and the following decade embarked on a record-breaking solo career with an uninterrupted string of US number one solo albums that continues to this day - 2022’s Renaissance was her 7th in a row.
This one should be fun and challenging: a back catalogue rich with well-crafted pop songs with modern arrangements and production - we can’t wait to hear what you creative souls make of ’em!

As usual, there is no admission fee, but donations will be collected during the interval, either card or cash - suggested donation £5. All donations go to the Rising Sun Arts Centre.
Doors open at 8pm for a prompt 8:30pm start.
About Tribute Night
Tribute Night is a long and winding train ride through the wonderful, eclectic world of popular music and a celebration of its most important, influential, innovative and fun exponents. These are the people who crafted the soundtracks of our lives.
It’s a simple but winning formula: every three months, a different artist is featured and various local musicians play various songs by the featured artist in various and often surprising ways. Occasionally, it is more of a theme than an artist. All are welcome to get involved by choosing a song or two to learn and play on the night or by coming to listen and sing along. If you’ve been to one of these nights before, you’ll know that they can be silly amounts of fun.
Following a pandemic-induced hiatus, we returned with a Christmas Special in December 2022, and the schedule proper continues with Beyoncé & Destiny’s Child on Saturday 18 March 2023.
