Double Okay Queer Making Sessions

3rd Sunday of the month, 11:00-14:00

Double Okay

We're hosting monthly making sessions for queer people at the Rising Sun Arts Centre! They are open to anybody over 14 years old. We are excited to support an intergenerational space, and encourage people of all ages to attend.

All sessions are free to queer people, but please sign up for a place as we have limited numbers. You will need to book a place for each session, tickets for future sessions will be released monthly.

The sessions will take place in the main hall at the Rising Sun Arts Centre, which is wheelchair accessible. There are 2 gender neutral toilets on the ground floor, with 1 accessible toilet. The space will be sober, with teas, coffees, drinks and snacks provided for free.

We have a bursary travel fund for those from low income backgrounds, or anybody who needs financial support to travel to these sessions. You can let us know if this is something you need by emailing us at doubleokaygroup@gmail.com

These sessions are run by George (she/they) and Ollie (they/them) from Double Okay, who are both working artists in Reading. They have experience of working with young people, running arts workshops, hosting events for LGBTQIA+ people and are excited to share this space with you! Should you need any help or support during the sessions, please let either George or Ollie know and they'll be there to help.

Double Okay are a queer and trans arts collective based in Reading. They work with queer people and artists, and create safer spaces for the queer community. Double Okay have been running workshops, exhibitions, performance events and digital streams since 2018.

If you have any questions or need any help, including access support, please let us know by emailing doubleokaygroup@gmail.com
