Bon appetit! A taste of France comes to Reading this Easter

A taste of France comes to Reading this Easter with a two-day French market taking over Broad Street on Good Friday 15 April and Easter Saturday 16 April.

Shoppers in Reading town centre will be able to savour a range of sweet and savoury delicacies from across the Channel including a large variety of French cheeses, breads, pastries, street food such as tartiflettes, creamy chicken, garlic potatoes, and, of course, wines.

Nigel Horton-Baker of Reading UK said:

“Reading has a real taste for good food. You can see that in the popularity of our street food markets, the new Blue Collar Corner, events such as Eat Reading, new delis springing up in the town centre, as well as the demand from the restaurant industry for space in Reading. The French Market will offer something different again over two days this Easter so come and vive la difference! Bon appetit!”

The Authentic French Market is brought to Reading by Reading UK and is organised by France at Home, who have been bringing French traders from Normandy to the UK since 1994.

The market runs for two days - 15/16 April and is open from 9am – 5pm.
