Stallholders Wanted

We have space for more stallholders at this year's market. 6ft & 4ft tables are available, priced £40 & £35.

If you would like a stall, please email thepantrycafe@reading.gov.uk with details of your product.

Please note: The number of stallholders offering similar goods will be limited. Although competition provides a healthy shopping experience, swamping an event with similar goods does not. Quotas are set for each type of product by Reading Arts/Reading Museum to be fair and consistent to all stallholders and potential customers.

Once your enquiry has been considered, you stall will be confirmed/declined. Payment details will be sent at this point.

FAQs

How much does a space cost?
A single space is £35 or £40 depending on table size. Payment will be required within 5 days of acceptance of your booking.

What size table do we get?
We provide either a 6' x 2' table or 4’ x 2’ table chair for each space you book.  Your useable space is approx. 7’ x 5’ or 5’ x 5’, though this may vary according to location in the market.  Please, where possible, store your boxes etc under your table so they are hidden from view.

Can we bring our own rails and stands?
Absolutely, but they must fit into your space without encroaching on your neighbour.  This may mean you have to bring your own tables instead of using ours. We want you to create an area that is personal to you and your products. Please check with if you’d like to bring your own, so that we can make sure your stall is located in a suitable place.

Is there access to an electricity supply?
Please request access to electricity if you require it on the Application Form.  We will do our best to accommodate this but cannot guarantee access.

What competition will we have at the event?
We are not adverse to competition as we believe this will create a healthy shopping experience, but we will not swamp the fair with one type of product.

If we are unable to attend event, will we receive a refund?
In accordance with distance selling regulations, we will allow you 7 days to change your mind from letting you know that we have received your form and payment. Cancellations outside of the above will NOT be refunded unless alternative stallholders can be found, and we will raise a small admin charge of £5.00 per market space.  Alternative stallholders MUST be approved by us.

Can we pay on the day?
Sorry, no. We will confirm if your enquiry has accepted as soon as possible. This confirmation will include our payment details, which will be online via our website.  Your full confirmation will then be sent once payment has been received.

Do we get a refund if the footfall is low?
We will make every effort to attract as many people to our fairs as we possibly can. We cannot be held responsible for adverse weather conditions, road works, sports events or any other variable which may affect the footfall.  We cannot offer you a refund if you feel you haven't seen as many people as you would have liked.

What marketing and advertising do you do?
Reading Arts & Reading Museum will endeavour to attract as many people as possible to the fair by posting advertising and banners in the location on the day itself and leading up to the event.  We will advertise prior to the event in local publications, on social media, our own website and via digital eshot marketing to our database.  Stallholders may advertise the market themselves in any form they wish, and we encouraged them to do so. The more that we can advertise collaboratively the more successful the fair will be.
