Reading Rotary Santa Run

Now at the University of Reading!

Sun 11 Dec from 9:30

The Reading Santa Run returns on the 11th December 2022. Come and join us on the University grounds for an approximately 5k festive Run. There is also an approximately 1k family Mini Santa and Elf Run so everyone of any age or ability can join in.

  • 1K Mini Santa & Elf Run – Everybody is welcome to join in the mini Santa run which starts at 9.30am. Wheelchairs, buggies, dogs, you name it.
  • 5K Santa Run – A great way to kick off the holiday season, keep fit and raise funds for the designated charities, your own charity, or the local Rotary charities. Walk, jog or run our exciting route. Open to anyone over 11 years old.

Reading Santa Run attracts hundreds of runners every December. Come and join the fun. The route runs through the vast and wonderful University grounds and will end in festive fun on the Quad. Come and help us raise thousands for local charities.

We have reduced the prices

Why? To make this run as sustainable and affordable as possible we have changed the pricing structure of the entry fee. We are no longer including a Santa suit with every entry. If you have one already, you are welcome to wear it on the day. If you need one, we have a limited number of suits on offer, which you can purchase. Feel free to source or create your own festive outfit. A festive outfit IS required at the event, as is the Race Number you will be provided with. There will be a prize for the best festive outfit on the day, an Afternoon Tea for 4 with Prosecco at Henley Greenlands Hotel.

Note: You MUST wear a Race Number and Festive Outfit or risk exclusion from the event.

If you are purchasing a suit

Please be advised that if you fail to pick up your Santa suit in the designated times allotted you shall be unable to receive a suit. The designated times will be on the 3rd of December, 10 am - 2 pm, at Broad Street Mall and on the run day itself, the 11th of December.

This year we will be running on the beautiful ground of Reading University. The route takes in the Palmer Quad, Green Walk, Redrow Drive, Park Bar, Queen's Drive, Salt Way, Hopkins Drive and walking paths. The Palmer Quad will be used as the main event area.

How to get there

We encourage those who can to walk or take public transport. If you are coming by car, you can either park in Car Park 1A which is the large car park next to SportsPark. Or you can park in any car park on the Earley Gate side of the campus.
