For Sama: Online Screening + Q&A

A Refugee Week Event

This Refugee Week, join us online to watch the award-winning 'For Sama', followed by a Q&A with a panel of Special Guests.

For Sama is a love letter, documenting a young mother's experience raising her baby daughter through years of violence in Aleppo, Syria.

The powerful documentary has been nominated for an Oscar and has won numerous awards including a BAFTA, an Emmy and a Cannes Festival Prize.

Afterwards we will have an online Q&A Panel with the film's co-star Afraa HashemHigh Sheriff of Berkshire Mary Riall; Syrian surgeon and Refugee Dr Hussam Allaham; and Filmmaker and Refugee Thabo M.

COVID-19 has prevented us from holding our popular Refugee Week events as normal, so we're extremely pleased to present this online alternative that will be just as powerful.

Buy your ticket, watch it with us online, join in the discussion, and help provide a lifeline for Refugees in Berkshire.

We are proud to present this event in collaboration with Action For Sama, Deloitte Reading, Reading Film Theatre and Refugee Week.
