See if you can find all the yummy looking puddings that we have hidden around the Museum. Delectable but not edible, unfortunately!

Roman Fun Day
Join us for a fun-packed day of activities and crafts exploring the history of Roman Britain. Meet a Romano-British citizen from Calleva Atrebatum (the ancient Roman town at Silchester), find out about their life 2,000 years ago, and have a go at dressing up. Discover our plans to update our Silchester Gallery, and have your say!
Drop in to make pasta jewellery brooches and laurel leaf headdresses. Handle some real & replica objects from our Loans Collection and write your name in Latin.
Families, 10 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 3 pm.
Free, drop in, donations welcome.

Out in the Forbury: Bug Club
Insect explorers can search for creepy-crawlies in the Forbury Gardens and Abbey Ruins with our special kits. Identify, draw and record your finds, and take a look at some fabulous insect specimens from our loans collection boxes. In the event of bad weather, please come to the Museum.

Make and Take: Rolling Rivers Collage
Explore Reading’s Rivers and have a go at adding to our Rolling Rivers Collage, by making your own nature and wildlife themed craft!

Biscuit Town Family Activity Pack
From 28th May until September
This pack is full of things to do at Reading Museum, The MERL, and at home, including colouring sheets, gallery trails, crafts, recipes, and more.
£3 per pack, suitable for children aged 5+. Pick up your copy at Reading Museum or The MERL.
