u3a at Reading Libraries

Part of u3a's 40th Anniversary Celebrations

To celebrate the u3a’s national 40th Anniversary, Reading u3a are holding group demonstrations at Reading Central, Caversham and Southcote libraries to show the public the physical and mental wellbeing of belonging to our charitable movement.  Reading u3a members will be present to inform about the groups we have and discuss the benefits of membership for like-minded people whose motto is learn, laugh and live following retirement.

Southcote Library, Southcote Community Hub, Coronation Square, Southcote, Reading RG30 3QP

  • 10am-12noon

At Southcote Library we will showcase our Amblers, Town Study, Birdwatching, Photography, German and Italian and Current Affairs groups and there will be a Seated Exercise demo at 11am. 

Reading Central Library, Abbey Square, RG1 3BQ

  • Tuesday, 20 September
  • 11am-1pm

At Reading Central Library we will showcase our Amblers, Town Study, Birdwatching, Photography, Spanish and French, Current Affairs and Art groups.  There will also be a Seated Exercise demo at 11am and Tai Chi demo at 12.15pm.

Caversham Library, Church Street, Caversham, Reading RG4 8AU

  • Thursday, 22 September
  • 1.30-3.30pm

At Caversham Library we will showcase our  Amblers, Town Study, Current Affairs, Spanish and French, Birdwatching and Photography groups.  There will be a Tai Chi demo at 2.30pm.
