Celebrating the life & Service of HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
Members of the public are invited to attend this Royal County of Berkshire service of Thanksgiving for the Life and Service of HRH The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh on Saturday 16th October
It is being hosted by the Lord-Lieutenant of Berkshire and Reading Minster.
The service will start at 5pm. Please be seated by 4:30pm.
The service will include :
Reflections on The life and service of the Duke of Edinburgh by:
- HM Lord Lieutenant for the Royal County of Berkshire, Mr James Puxley
- Rabbi Dr Jonathan Romain MBE
- The Bishop of Reading the Rt Revd Olivia Graham
The impact of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award by:
- Nick Harborne CEO of Reading Refugee Support Group
- Two recent winners of the Award.
Members of the public wishing to attend are asked to apply for a ticket by 15 October.
Please bring your ticket electronically or printed.
Due to COVID 19 there may be some restrictions and social distancing guidelines in place for this event. It is recommended that a Lateral Flow test is completed prior to attending. On the day, if you are experiencing any flu like symptoms then we ask that you do not to attend. Reading Minster has limited open air ventilation and whilst mask wearing is not being enforced, we ask all guests to be respectful of those still being cautious. We do ask that masks are worn if you are able to do so, in The Minster, except while you are seated in your pew.
