RABBLE Masterclass: Endowment and Substitution - Special Props and Making your Backstory Real with Emma Denly

Using the teachings of Uta Hagen and her contemporaries, we will discover the importance of preparing and rehearsing relationships with special objects in order to ground your acting within your backstory.

We will touch upon character collages, relationship substitutions and develop skills to bring useful but safe personal history to private rehearsal in order to root our acting choices.

Please bring with you ONE personal object that you will need to be able to briefly introduce to the group. Choose an item that has a powerful story, but one that will NOT cause you or other members of the group discomfort when you discuss it.

Ticket info

Tickets are available via the RABBLE website. To sign up simply purchase a ticket and you will receive all the Zoom details straight to your inbox 30 minutes before the workshop is due to start. We usually open the event 10 minutes before the start time. Please allow 5-10 minutes when joining to get familiar with the tech options and set up your space.
