The Hexagon is a multi-purpose entertainment venue in the heart of Reading, hosting an eclectic mix of entertainers from big name Comedians, Spectacular Musicals, Children's Shows, Classical Concerts, Opera, Pantomime, Theatre, Dance and everything in between.
Built in 1977 by Robert Matthew Johnson Marshall (RMJM) in the Brutalist style of modernist architecture, the venue's capacity varies from 1,200 to 1,686 depending on the programme.
Reading Arts and Venues runs the three main arts venues in Reading, on behalf of Reading Borough Council. This includes The Hexagon, South Street Arts Centre and The Concert Hall at the Town Hall. It also incorporates box office services for other local and national events and festivals. All of our roles are advertised on the left hand side of this page as and when we have vacancies. They include any casual and permanent roles across all of the venues. Applications, when open, are accepted for specific roles via our online application form.
