Renowned as a concert organist, teacher and recording artist, Daniel Moult has recently received worldwide acclaim for his achievement as a film presenter and performer on the multi-DVD & CD boxed set ‘The English Organ’.

Daniel now brings his expertise to bear on our own historic ‘Father’ Willis instrument, itself of international significance, in a programme which includes masterworks of the organ repertoire coupled with some less-familiar gems. The centrepiece is Edward Elgar’s majestic Sonata, which calls on the full range of colours from the organ in music expressing the bold confidence of the late-Victorian era.

The Berkshire Organists’ Association provides support for organists and organ events across the area. It has a long relationship with Reading’s ‘Father’ Willis, having assisted in the arranging of recitals by local and international players here for almost six decades. The Association is delighted to sponsor this concert, concluding a year of events to celebrate the centenary of its founding on 19 April 1921.
