Parish Registers Online Workshop

For Family and Social Historians

Enjoy this online Parish Registers Workshop from the comfort of your own home, whilst still being able to contribute fully to the discussion.

Increase your chances of success with family historians’ core resource. Better understand what registers can provide for you, how and why they differ in content over time, where to find them, how Church of England and non-conformist registers differ, and how to interpret them. Also, indexes and transcripts, their benefits and pitfalls.

Tickets cost £10 (members £9). Pre-booking is required as full joining instructions will be sent by email to all attendees in advance. Bookings close one day before the event.

To join in this workshop, you will need a computer (or laptop/tablet) with speakers and a microphone. Ideally, also a webcam. You need to be able to access your emails from this device. First time users will be asked to download a small piece of software. This will be sent to you in advance.
