Following the latest Government announcement on Monday 16 March regarding COVID-19, we regret to announce that this event has been postponed.

We are working closely with our tour promoters, artistes and partners to reschedule shows and events wherever possible and we will update all ticket holders as soon as these options are confirmed. If this show is ultimately cancelled, ticket holders will be contacted and automatically receive a refund within 30 days.

Join Reading sculptor McAlistair Hood in a stone carving workshop at the museum to produce a sculpture of your favourite animal.

Enjoy the unique carving properties of soapstone.

With a wealth of world sculpture reference material available at the workshop, and the expertise of the artist to guide you, you’ll have all you need to produce a relief carving that you will be proud of. Absolutely no pressure to complete your stone carving on the day; all are welcome to finish their work in the sculptor’s studio (just outside Reading) for free!
