FLOODLIGHTS (school years 9, 10 & 11)
29 March 2021 | 5:00pm | online via Zoom | bookings £7.50
The Floodlights group will return to ‘in-person’ activities on Mon 19 April at Progress Theatre, so this online introduction is a great opportunity to see if it's something you might be interested in joining. Workshop sessions explore improvisation, devising and scripted work and participants will learn from the masters of classical text and contemporary writing to inform the development of new work of their own. Through this, young people can strengthen their technical skill as actors and enhance their capabilities in literary analysis and critical thinking.
BIRDIES (school years 3, 4, & 5)
3 April 2021 | 11:00am | online via Zoom | bookings £5
The Birdies sessions will be playful in nature and are based around the topics of storytelling and imagination. Through these sessions, we will look at building confidence as well as learning new skills. This will be a friendly and informal 45 min session.
PARCANS (school years 6, 7 & 8)
17 April 2021 | 11:00am | online via Zoom | bookings £5
The Parcans sessions will be more explorative and start to look at creating drama through improvisation and devising from stimuli. Through these sessions, we will begin investigating theatre practices and learning new techniques in a friendly and fun environment. This will be a friendly and informal 45 min session.
