The Hexagon is a multi-purpose entertainment venue in the heart of Reading, hosting an eclectic mix of entertainers from big name Comedians, Spectacular Musicals, Children's Shows, Classical Concerts, Opera, Pantomime, Theatre, Dance and everything in between.
Built in 1977 by Robert Matthew Johnson Marshall (RMJM) in the Brutalist style of modernist architecture, the venue's capacity varies from 1,200 to 1,686 depending on the programme.
The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra is the Resident Orchestra of The Hexagon, presenting three concerts each season, a fantastic family concert - Noisy Kids - and various community and education activities. We are very proud to have such a prestigious orchestra call us 'home'.
Classical Music Alive is also delighted to be working in partnership with local organisations to support young people in their music making and enjoyment. This includes invitations to open rehearsals, Q&A sessions, opportunities to perform, participating in workshops and masterclasses and by offering easier access to all Classical Music Alive in Reading concerts.
