COVID-19 Non-Reading Arts & Outdoor Events
Each individual partner organisation is responsible for uploading and updating their content in line with whatever policy they have decided upon. We're working closely with our partners to ensure all event listings are updated to match whatever course of action is chosen with each event. Please bear with us - and our partners - as tricky decisions are made.
If in doubt, it's best you check each venue or promoter's website or social media channels directly for the most up-to-date information about their events.
The information below is supplementary to the Reading Arts & Venues information in the right hand box.
Specific Outdoor Event Covid-19 Information
What do we know about Covid-19
Coronavirus (COVID-19) is an infectious disease that can result in serious and potentially fatal illness. The risk of transmission is increased where people gather together. Some people are at a higher risk than others. Although we are implementing heightened safety measures, the risk cannot be entirely eliminated and, by attending the venue or event, you assume all risk associated with COVID-19 (unless caused by our negligence).
Outdoor Ticketing Information
For outdoor events tickets are only available in fixed groups of up to 6, this is subject to change depending on government policy. All tickets within a particular group must be purchased by one booker. Each group must only consist of one household or support bubble. Performers and marshalls will be distanced from attendees in line with government guidance.
At the venue or outdoor event you must
abide by all relevant government guidance;
abide by: all instructions given by our staff; our signage; and our full terms and conditions;
permit your temperature to be screened upon arrival (if required). If we assess (at our sole discretion) that your temperature is 37.8C or higher, you and those who were to be part of your fixed group of tickets will not be allowed to enter the venue and the face value of your tickets will be refunded (as set out at 2.3) within 7 days;
wear a face covering in the venue, for outdoor events this is not currently required but is subject to change please check booking information before arriving on site for the most up to date information; and
maintain a distance of 2 metres where possible (and otherwise no less than 1 metre) from all other households or support bubbles at the venue or event at all times.
What happens if I feel ill before the event?
You must not attend the venue or outdoor event if you:
believe you may be infected with COVID-19;
have experienced symptoms in the last 14 days;
have been in close proximity to anyone who has experienced symptoms in the last 14 days;
have arrived in England in the last 14 days and are not covered by the exemption rules relating to self-isolation; or

Any individual who considers themselves to be clinically extremely vulnerable or who is in the same household or support bubble as someone who considers themselves to be clinically extremely vulnerable is advised not to attend.
If we are required by any COVID-19 government guidance or restrictions to cancel a performance, tickets may be exchanged or refunded.
